Follow Brooklyn teenager Miles Morales as he discovers the endless possibility of the Spider-Verse. Where anyone in the Multiverse can wear the mask.

Spider-Man:Into the Spider-Verse is easily one of the Best animation of 2018.  However, into the Spider-Verse stands out not just because of its incredible soundtrack or its unique animation style. But rather because of its perfect depiction of the struggle to be a hero.
The movie dives into the insecurities and troubles of not just Miles but of every Spider-hero we meet on this journey. And in doing so it captures the true essence of one of Marvel Comics’ best characters.

The movie kicks off with Miles Morales, a regular teenager plagued by the same worries about life, girls, and fitting in like every other teenage Boy.
But when Miles gets bit by an experimental Spider that grants him the awesome gifts and skills of the Spider-Man Fan.

Guess what? All that anxiety and fear, doesn’t go anywhere.

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse ( Spider-Heroes)

Penny, Gwen, Spider-Ham, Miles, Peter Paker, Spider-Man Noir.

And that’s one thing I love about this movie. It doesn’t present Miles’ powers as an instant fix to all his problems. But rather as a means for him to rediscover himself and change his perspective on life.

But Miles doesn’t achieve this all by himself.

As the film progresses, we meet various other Spider-Heroes from other realities. Each accompanied with a cool, unique origin and a sad loss.
We meet a different Peter Parker from a universe where Mary Jane divorces him and the rest of his life falls apart.
Spider Gwen Hails from a universe where Peter Parker dies in the fight Green Goblin instead of Gwen Stacy. Penny Parker comes from an anime universe while Spider-Man Noir is a hero from the 1930s. And Spider-Ham… Spider-Ham is just Perfection.

Wilson Fisk(Kingpin) -Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Wilson Fisk(Kingpin)

While these five are integral to the sheer amount of joy and humor in this film (Most especially Spider-Ham). They are not amateurs.
These experienced Heroes help Miles through this difficult journey of self-discovery. And assist him to take the leap of faith to become the new Spider-Man of his universe.

And considering the movie’s main villain is Kingpin, am glad he got all the help that he could.

While this Kingpin is nowhere as meticulous in planning as Vincent D’Onofrio’s depiction from the Dare Devil TV-Series. He is just as impulsive and lethal when it comes to matters concerning his family.

Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin is still the best Click To Tweet

After losing his wife and son in a tragic car accident, Wilson Fisk creates a door to other realities hoping to reunite with their alternate versions. Sadly some things aren’t meant to be.

Into the Spider-Verse is about a teenage boy who while being strong enough to Jump off a building and survive, is just as terrified of tomorrow as we are.
But whenever someone’s in danger, that teenage boy puts on his costume and does the best he can. Because in other to find yourself, you have to take a chance. It might be lonely, it might be dark, but it might also be the most amazing thing in the world.Into the Spider-Verse
