Seriously though, October is stacked with a variety of films and animations to last the entire month.
Luckily, your favorite movie bloggers have been slavishly working on compiling a list of critical movies and animations for you to watch this October.
And without further delay, here are the essential October 2019 Movies, Series, and Animations to Watch out for on HBO, Netflix and in theaters.
1. Joker 2019
I’ll be honest when I first heard DC was making a Joker Movie I thought this might be the final nail on the DC Cinematic Universe’s grave.
But when I found out, Joaquin Phoenix was the star of the Joker Movie, my faith, and interest returned.
And now that The Joker has bagged the best film award at the Venice film festival. This film is now one of my most expected movies of 2019.
Catch Joker in theaters on October 4th, 2019.
2. Big Mouth Season 3
If you’re looking for to watch on Netflix this October, then Big Mouth is one series you shouldn’t miss.
But When is Big Mouth Season 3 coming out?
My two-time winner for one of the Best Animation Of the Year returns on October 4th.
But if you haven’t seen this series, don’t panic!!!
You still have time to binge before season 3 hits Netflix on this Friday (No Pressure)
Big Mouth follows Andrew, Jessie, Jay, and Nick as they try to navigate the awkward and confusing journey of puberty.
However, they’re not alone on this journey. Connie and Maurice (The Hormone monsters) have their back covered, well MOSTLY.
3. Peaky Blinders
I’ll confess, I haven’t seen a single episode of Peaky Blinders.
But hold your Pitchforks, and memes, because it’s not like I think the show is terrible or anything. I’ve just not had any time to check it out (yet).
I do however have friends who tell me the show is terrific And a (And they might kill me if I don’t include it on this list). Who knows, this season I might finally give in and check it out.
Peaky Blinders return on Netflix on October 4th.
4. The Addams Family
Join the Weirdest Family to ever exist as they take us back to the Golden days of Cartoon Network.

When I saw the final episode of Breaking Bad, I thought to myself. “This is one of the best endings I’ve ever seen.”
But as an old saying goes “The show must go on,” And damn it I’m excited for this story to continue.
After escaping captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past to forge some future while trying to avoid Albuquerque Police, who are conducting a Manhunt for him.
Breaking Bad returns on October 11th.
6. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil
The sequel to 2014’s Maleficent, sees a formidable queen causes a rift between Maleficent and Princess Aurora. Together, they must face new allies and enemies to protect the magical lands which they share.

Jojo is a lonely German boy who discovers that his single mother is hiding a Jewish girl in their attic. Aided only by his imaginary friend — Adolf Hitler — Jojo must confront his blind nationalism as World War II continues to rage on.

If you liked The Boys, then Watchmen should be right up your alley.
The series picks up after the events of the Watchman Movie, which saw Adrian Veidt framing Dr. Manhattan as a global threat. This led to the Soviet Union, and the US uniting their forces against Dr. Manhattan.
Fast forward a few decades into the future, and now society is on the brink of collapse. With masked vigilantism considered a crime and police brutality increasing, cracks are showing on Veidt’s fragile peace.
Catch WatchMen on HBO on October 20th.
